Elnady plastination

This workshop provides an introduction to the Elnady plastination technique and its application in anatomical teaching and research. Participants will be guided through the full workflow, including the chemicals required, specimen preparation, dehydration, impregnation, and curing steps.

The session highlights the practical features and advantages of the Elnady method, with demonstrations of materials, equipment, and safety considerations. Attendees will examine finished Elnady-plastinated specimens and directly compare them with traditional formalin-fixed samples to understand differences in texture, color retention, preservation quality, and educational value.

Designed for students and professionals, the workshop offers a comprehensive overview of a low-cost, accessible plastination method that enhances anatomical visualization and long-term specimen durability.
